Creepy Castle
Game Jam: Spooky Jam
Another Halloween another game jam, this one had me and a few friends to each makes a platformer game NOT in unreal engine, the game must have had a spooky theme.
With my previous experiences with using Game Maker Studio 1.4 for making platformers, I felt this was my best choice.
Story: You play as a person (You Decide), and you arrive at a CASTLE to (Find your girlfriend/ Find Treasure or save the Princess), with your trusty omnidirectional flashlight on the fritz you must collect a number of SPOOKY TOKENS to open the big door in the centre room to get that thing.
I wanted to keep it solely as a platformer but with a little bit of a twist without breaking the basics, so I enveloped the whole game in darkness, hence the flashlight and battery pickups.
Since this was a game jam I had done all of the gameplay, levels and art (Yes I know, me art who would have thought it)
